The elderly but spunky Maybell Johnson has lived in New Orleans her entire life. Widowed fifteen years ago, she now lives alone with her dog, Camille. She is preparing herself for what is left of her life when a stranger, who picks her at random, attempts to end it. Both get more than they bargained for.
Margot Landry is a psychotherapist, and Connie Minae is her new client. Margot records every online session. Something is off about Connie and as Margot thinks she figures it out, Connie is murdered. As the mystery about Connie deepens, Margot and her new best friend, Joan Pierse, are receiving threatening messages as they scour the session videos to find the truth...one that was there the whole time.
